The masterclass nobody else is running

For the career you're building now

You've been at this for a few years. You've sold designs, maybe licensed some work. You're creating consistently — but it's not yet translating into a sustainable income. You love what you do, but you're starting to wonder: is this actually going somewhere?

That's exactly where this masterclass begins.

I am thrilled to welcome Chris Chun to Brisbane for one day only.

Over 25 years, Chris has built an international creative practice spanning design, licensing, brand collaboration, product development, and fine art. He's here to share the commercial realities, the hard lessons, and the decisions that separate a sustainable career from a perpetual hustle — with the kind of honesty that's only possible when someone has genuinely nothing left to prove.

About Chris

Chris Chun is an Australian-Chinese artist, illustrator, and textile designer known for his contemporary Chinoiserie style and vibrant, exuberant work. Through visual storytelling and symbolism, he creates pieces that forge emotional connections with collectors who appreciate the meaning in each piece.

Chris honed his craft in Europe, designing for prestigious textile studios whose clients included Giorgio Armani, Missoni, and Diane Von Furstenberg. He has also worked as a Product Manager and Creative Director, bringing a wealth of experience across product development, retail, and licensing. His role as Global Creative Director for Elephant Parade further refined his unique blend of artistic vision and commercial expertise.

His work has been featured in Vogue, Elle Decor, Belle, The Sydney Morning Herald, and leading publications worldwide. Based between Asia and Australia, Chris exhibits internationally as a fine artist and collaborates with a select group of clients around the world.

Chris's original paintings and limited edition prints have attracted a devoted following who have coined his signature style "Chunoiserie" and affectionately call themselves "Chunistas."

15 places. Not 50.

There's a reason for that.

Most workshops scale for profit. This one is deliberately small — because genuine feedback requires genuine attention. Chris reviews your work before the day. He knows who is in the room. When he speaks to your practice, he is speaking to your practice — not a hypothetical one.

Before you arrive, you’ll receive a brief to submit your work along with a specific question about your practice. During the sessions, Chris critiques that work openly — and because the group is small and the issues are universal, everyone in the room learns from every conversation. You won’t just hear advice meant for someone else. You’ll recognise it as your own.

This is what separates a masterclass from a course.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer in this industry. The only way to give useful advice is to actually look at someone’s work — and tell them the truth.
