My first book, Pattern Pulse, was an idea that came to me 6 years ago when I started my own Surface Design journey. I had written the book I would have loved to buy when I was researching new career pathways.

After contacting 100 Australian Surface Designers, established and emerging, I began the process of writing individual career biographies and collecting beautiful imagery to compliment this text.

Every artist was given at least one double page spread to show examples of their original art pieces, placement or repeat patterns and the products that those designs feature upon.

The book was launched in October 2020. Stocked in 50 stores across Australia and overseas, all 2000 copies of the original print run are now sold out. Pattern Pulse found its way into the homes of design lovers, students and teachers across the world and the positive feedback I received has been a constant source of joy.

It was only fitting that I kept up the momentum of this success by shining the spotlight on 100 new artists in a second volume.

I have chosen designers & artists that have worked in the textiles & fashion, bedding, homewares, wallcoverings, giftware, stationery and children’s book illustration markets. People who have a unique style, have a varied artistic and professional background, and ultimately are all working here in Australia. Artists in Volume 2 include prominent Australian designers Cassie Byrnes, Luke John Matthew Arnold, Deb McNaughton, Grace Garrett and Fleur Harris.
